Leif Wiberg, third generation of Wiberg's furniture in Älvdalen criare Last Friday I attended a very inspiring company visits - I met Leif Wiberg who is the third generation of Wiberg's furniture playground. The company celebrates 120th anniversary (!) Next year! I must admit that I have not visited the store earlier and I was very impressed by the variety Leif offers - there's no reason to go from Älvdalenför to shop bedding, furniture, rugs, pillows, blankets and other furnishing accessories. 1893 started Adolf Wiberg leather tanning and saddlery. 1929 took his son Maritn over and went for upholstery workshop and furniture store on the site of Leif today runs Wiberg furniture. Leif takes me upstairs in the house and shows all the old stuff saved after his father and grandfather. - To open up a museum to showcase all the good old stuff is a dream, says Leif. There is so much history to show off! How do you see the future? I ask Leif. - A threat criare is that many of the old suppliers in Sweden put down their operations or go bankrupt. Competition with production from low-wage countries is large and many smaller suppliers will have difficulty with profitability. - But we're trying to find solutions, continues Leif. You have to have good partners. We continue diskussioerna with cooperation between criare companies in Älvdalen and the future of business in the municipality.
